Group Dinners

Table of Contents

First group dinner: Thursday, July 24th, 5:30 pm

at Beachside Bar & Cafe, down the hill from KITP overlooking Goleta beach.

For those who wish to walk (as parking is very crowded near the restaurant), meet at 5:10 pm at the main entrance of KITP. Please remember to bring a jacket if you wish to join the group for a walk along the pier. For your planning, the menu for the restaurant is at this link (where the last page is the children's menu). The two families will have individual checks. The rest of us will have to settle up one big check. Each person will be able to have a detailed bill listing all items ordered. Please remember all items you ordered so we can settle your individual bill.

It was fun!

Beach Barbecue

First group barbecue: Tuesday, July 29th, 4:00 pm

We are planning a barbecue for all participants and their families for Tuesday evening, July 29th, at a picnic facility at Goleta Beach Park. We have reserved the facility and ask that you inform us either by email or at our 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon meeting whether or not you (and your family) will participate.

We have in mind purchasing meat, sausages, and chicken as well as accompanying side dishes, beer, soft drinks, and wine. Since we do not have any budget for such entertainment, we ask each person to contribute to the cost for the food, drinks, and facilities. Since the food and drinks must be purchased in advance, we would appreciate it if each person would contribute $10 in advance so those buying the food and drinks do not have to pay personally for all of it. After the event, we shall inform everyone of the actual cost and make adjustments.

If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know that by the time of our meeting scheduled for Monday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.

We look forward to having you at this next social event!
